Oil prices rise on Hormuz tensions as midstream, pipeline and drilling updates pile up
Oil markets are being driven by tanker attacks and rising Strait of Hormuz risk, while U.S. policymakers weigh sanctions and waivers amid supply constraints. On the North American side, CRC is set to buy Crimson Midstream’s California pipeline platform, Phillips 66, Kinder Morgan and HF Sinclair sanctioned Western Gateway, and drilling and production updates continued across the Permian, Delaware Basin and Alaska.
Refining strain, record gasoline prices, and softer oil demand outlooks
